America's kids shows have become a staple in many households, entertaining and educating children for generations. However, beneath the colorful characters and catchy tunes lies a sinister agenda that contradicts biblical values. This sermon explores the dangers of America's kids shows through a biblical lens, examining relevant verses that highlight the importance of discernment and faithfulness.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6)

This verse emphasizes the significance of instilling godly values in children from a young age. However, many kids shows promote secular humanism, undermining biblical principles and morals.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:2)

Kids shows often conform to the world's standards, promoting self-centeredness and materialism. In contrast, God calls us to be transformed by His Word, renewing our minds to align with His perfect will.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom, yet many kids shows ignore or mock biblical values, leading children away from the truth.

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ." (Colossians 2:8)

Some kids shows promote New Age ideologies and secular humanism, capturing young minds with deceptive philosophies that contradict biblical teachings.

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." (Philippians 4:8)

This verse encourages us to focus on what is true, noble, and pure. In contrast, many kids shows prioritize entertainment over edification, leading children to fixate on ungodly values.

America's kids shows may entertain and engage, but they often undermine biblical values and promote a secular agenda. As Christians, we must be discerning and faithful, recognizing the dangers of these shows and seeking alternative resources that align with God's Word. By doing so, we can raise a generation that honors God and upholds His truth. "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7).
