The Culture Of Sowing

May the peace of the Lord be with you.

*DAY 1 OF LENT*

For our 40 day fasting period, we will focus on the Kingdom Culture. The culture we need to possess, the ways or practices we need to have established in us so we walk and live successfully in the Kingdom.

These cultures are all in the various parables Jesus shared. As we study the Parables we will identify the cultures.

Our reflection for today is on the 1st Kingdom Culture from the parable below:

*THE GROWING SEED:*

Mark 4:26-29 King James Version (KJV)

26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

*The culture of sowing*. The sower has no knowledge of how the harvest comes, how the seed springs forth, how it bears fruit etc. But when the harvest comes, it is his from the Lord and he harvests it to enjoy.

Prayer: Daddy please help me practice this culture so it becomes a part of me forever. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
