The Crystal City, Privacy And Sin

A few days ago, my pastor was talking with a few of us and he mentioned that the walls in heaven are transparent and crystal clear. Upon further deliberation, it occurred to me that in other words, in heaven and in GOD’s vocabulary and in HIS environment, there are no secrets and there is no privacy plan. that is one of the reasons, some of the construction materials in heaven are crystals and transparent glass.

Has GOD not said that HE will do nothing without informing HIS people? The MOST HIGH is not a secretive PERSON. HE reveals and talks with HIS children. In the scripture, HE tells us to discuss with HIM and HE will tell us glorious things. HE implores us to seek HIM and we will find HIM.

Our modern world is obsessed with talk of privacy, boundaries, 'mind your own business' and 'do not infringe on my rights'. This can summarily be interpreted by the scriptures as “I want to sin or I am sinning, don’t bother me”. And we have enacted laws and regulations to protect our right to sin and do whatever we want as long as we are not harming others. This state of affairs that encourages people to live like lone rangers in spite of the scriptures urging us to be concerned about the welfare of others and live in love, has led to loneliness, depression, isolation and sometimes serious fatal actions carried out by people who nobody knew anything about.

We mistakenly believe nobody knows us and nobody sees us. Yet, at the bottom of our hearts we know this is not true. We know that on this earth there is human on human surveillance and it is pretty effective. We also know there is supernatural surveillance talked about in the scriptures. Remember, the cloud of witnesses, the Eye of GOD, the SPIRIT of GOD. Beloved, this is not imagination. GOD sees you and all you do, think or say and HE understands your intentions and HE will deal with you appropriately.

There is a man in the scripture called Onan, who is described as wicked and GOD killed him because of his intentions during a very private act. Genesis 38:9-10. Read the entire incident. If GOD was seeing Onan’s heart during sexual intercourse, you seriously don’t think that you are invisible to HIM, do you? Beloved, you are known. Even the hairs on your head are counted. Yes, you are known either for destruction en route to hell or reconstruction in JESUS CHRIST en route to the crystal city, the city of our GOD.

The sin of David was exposed. The sin of Adam and Eve was exposed. The iniquity of satan is well documented and exposed. Your sin too will be exposed and documented unless you repent and let the blood of JESUS CHRIST wash it away. You seriously don’t imagine that you are better than David. There is nothing hidden before GOD. Everything done, said or thought in the recesses of our minds are clear and visible before GOD and the scripture warns us clearly in Revelations 21:27 that “..But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or , a lie, but only those who are written in the LAMB’s book of Life. Pretty strong and clear words.

Our world today is characterized by individualism, we think that because we are surrounded by heavily opaque concrete, metal, opaque bullet proof glasses, window shades and blinds and all sorts of roofs and other things that we are invisible to The MOST HIGH. Let’s look at the referenced scripture keenly. If something is clear, it is inferred that everyone can see through it. In heaven, Beloved, all thoughts, all actions all words will be visible to all and sundry including angels and other brethren who have made it there. Since there is no blindness in the afterlife and all will see clearly, this tells us that if we want to live in the celestial city, we must be prepared for exposure. No secrets. Everything in public. Here where I come from, there is a saying that one rotten mango spoils the rest. So, you are advised, if you notice a mango rotting, quickly separate it from the rest lest it spreads its 'rottenness' to the other mangoes. Could this be the same principle being used by The LORD?

This further brings to light the point that we must deal with secret sin now otherwise there is no celestial crystal city for us. You must be holy. You will not be allowed into the crystal, celestial city when you are defiled because it is a holy place. In other words, to enter into this crystal city in the reference scripture, you must be holy like our FATHER. Beloved, it is possible to be holy. Aren’t we always saying, “ I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me”? No excuses, be holy.
