THE COMMAND AND WORK OF GOD IN EVERYONES

In this message we see the command from the Lord to win souls and also the great joy that there is in winning the lost to Christ. The great task of the

Church is still evangelization of the world. It is work number 1. The Good News is that the Lord works with us in this great task, because we are the

temples of the Holy Spirit.

I. WE ARE COMMANDED TO WIN SOULS.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Matt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them inhe name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Matt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

II. WE ARE EMPOWERED TO WIN SOULS.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and onfirming the word with signsfollowing. Amen.

III. OUR LIFE IS FULFILLED WHEN WE WIN SOULS.

Romans 1:14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

Romans 1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

A. SOULWINNING GIVES US REAL PURPOSE IN LIFE.

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

IV. THE WORD SAYS YOU ARE WISE WHEN YOU WIN SOULS.

Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

V. WHEN PEOPLE ARE SAVED THEIR LIVES ARE

CHANGED FOR ETERNITY.

2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

A. Soul winning brings joy in heaven.

Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

1. Joy even to the angels.

Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

2. I want to wear out the angels with joy

a. I want to keep them busy by winning souls for Jesus!

B. In Ghana, Africa, the President wanted us to stay in his country and keep preaching what we were preaching because it was changing so many lives. I told him that it was the Word of God that was changing lives. The Lord gave us a wonderful soul-winning crusade in their capital city. Lives were changed. 2 Cor 5:17. c..new creations in Christ.

1.After our soul winning crusade in Criciuma, Brazil the Mayor told us in his home, with tears in his eyes, that on the site of ourcrusade they were going to build a city park and name it the Park of the Bible. The Mayor and his family came to Christ during the crusade.

Many times when my wife and I are asked how can we keep going, country after country for almost 45 years. I tell them it is the joy of the Lord that

gives strength. Winning souls is the second best joy you can have here on earth next to your own personal salvation. Remember it is not only a command from the Lord, but a source of great joy.
