John 14: 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

2.Christ became poor that we could be come rich

2nd Cor. 8: 9For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

James 2: 5Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

3.Christ was born that we might be born again

John 1: 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 3: 1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

4.Jesus became a servant that we might become sons

Phil.2: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

5. Christ had no home that we could have a home in heaven

John 14: 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

6. Christ was hungry that we could be fed

4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

John 6: 50This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

7.Christ was thirsty that we might be satisfied

10. Jesus was sad that we might become glad

Isa.53: 3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

11. Christ was bound that we could be free

Matt .27: 2And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

John 8: 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
