Change We don’t Need

In Last week Election,it was a Democratic landslide, people want change.Even conservative states voted democratic.The result was historic.People added democrats in the the senate, in the congress and they won the white house.

They won by appealing to what the people had in mind “ Change we need”.

But eventhough the world and next generation will continue to change. God does not. Every best gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change nor shadow of alteration.James 1:17.God do not need to change ,and He will not change. He already finished His plan ahead of us and the need to change is not needed.

In Hebrews 13:5 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Here are some things that do not change in God

1.Gods word do not change.

Deu 4:2.You shall not add to the word that I speak to you, neither shall you take away from it:

keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Pro 30:5-6 "Every word of God has proven to be true. He is a shield to those who come to him for protection.Do not add to his words, or he will reprimand you, and you will be found to be a liar.

Rev 22:18-19 Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book: If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book.

If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book.

2.Gods warning do not change.

Joh 3:16 For God had such love for the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever has faith in him may not come to destruction but have eternal life.

Luk 13:3 Not at all, I tell you; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

3.Gods wrath do not change.

Rev 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened the books. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by the things having been written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to their works.

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death, the Lake of Fire.

And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.

4.Gods way do not change.

Act 4:12 Nor is there salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven which

has been given among men by which we must be saved.

In a changing world do we need to change?

One reason that we loose the power in the church is when we change our message.

We like to be relevant so we change our message to cater(we don’t want the Word to hurt Hebrews 4:12)

We like to be relevant so we change our message to accommodate (don’t want them to be corrected because they give to church and we don’t want them to leave )

We like to be relevant so we change our message and we compromise (don’t want them to come against us)

We can change our method but we cant change our message.The problem with churches is not the message but the messenger.People change and will change, its up to us to change our method but our message must be crystal clear.

The people will continue to change. They will continue to try to change us. But even though the world changes and will continue to change as the unchanging bible proclaim it, the truth is their need do not change.

1. Their need of salvation do not change.

2. Their need of forgiveness do not change.

(CEV) The time is coming when people won’t listen to good teaching. Instead, they will look for teachers who will please them by telling them only what they are itching to hear.2Tim 4:3

destroyed.(CEV) Descendants of Jacob, I am the LORD All-Powerful, and I never change. That’s why you haven’t been wiped out,
