The Call Of God

Summary: The call of God goes out to everyone
Isaiah 55:1 Ho, everyone that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money, come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price
The call of God goes out to everyone who will recieve it. It does not matter who you are or what your name is, how much money you have or don’t have or even what you have done in your life.
Isaiah 1:18 come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool
Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins
When we confess our sin and repent God doesn’t remember our sin anymore and we need to get over it. Stop blaming everything on ourselves becuase of our past. There are two days we need not be concerned about , one is yesterday, it’s over, we can do nothing to change it. What ever you did or didn’t do confess it and repent of it. The other day is tomorrow, why worry about it, it’s not even here yet and may not for some. That is why we need to be concerned with today. Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift, that is why it is called the present. Focus on what we need to do for today. What does the Lord require of me today?
Deut. 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live. God calls everyone to salvation, it’s your choice to recieve it or not. No one is here by accident, you didn’t just stumble in, you came in for a reason.
Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations
God has a purpose for everyone who will answer the call. The purpose is stated clearly.
Acts 26:16-18 But rise, stand upon thy feet, for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things thou hast seen, and of those things which I will appear unto thee, delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God, that they may recieve forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
The world does not know God and needs to. We are all called to spread the gospel. How many are ignoring the call of God? People today are procrastinators, they say outside the church, I know I need God, but I will go next time, I will answer the Lord tomorrow, when I get ready I will go. Inside the church we say, I know they need God but Lord send someone else I am too busy today. Where would we be today if Jesus Christ had our attitude. I don’t feel good today so i won’t go today or why should I give my life for them, they don’t care,so it doesn’t matter anyway. We need to get out of bed every morning and thank God almighty for his plan of redemption. Had it not been finished by Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross we would be eternally lost, without hope. Becuase of his obedience we have salvation, if we will accept it. Accept the call and live by faith in God. God will not fail you. Think of the faith it took for Peter to throw his legs over the side of the boat and step out on to the sea. It’s time we, the church threw our legs over the side of the boat in faith and take that first step. Just keep your eyes and focus on Jesus. He will not let you down.
Have you accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour? You can today, today is the day of salvation. Confess your sin and ask him into your heart today, while he can be found
