The Bread Of Life

Jesus makes a claims that He is The Bread of Life 35Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life.

1. By saying He is the Bread of life He is saying I am what will Strengthen you in Life

The Bread of Life Gives Strength

33For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

A. The Chronicler said.

9For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those

whose hearts are fully committed to him.

B. The Psalmist said,

21My hand will sustain him; surely my arm will strengthen him.

C. The Prophet Elijah was Strengthened by the Bread of life

1 Kings 19:3Elijah was afraidA and ran for his life. ." 6He looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals,7The angel of the LORD came back a second time and touched him and said, "Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you." 8So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights

2. The Bread of Life Satisfies You.

Mark 642They all ate and were satisfied, 43and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish.

44The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.

Jesus fed the multitudes but he also satisfied the multitude

A. Jesus satisfies by fulfilling the Needs .

Philippians 419And my God shall supply all your needs according

to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

B. Jesus satisfies by fulfilling all expectations wishes or desires

Psalmist says, "9for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Luke says, : He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food

and fills your hearts with joy."

3. The Bread of life Sustains You

53Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up

A. The bread of life Sustains us by being the Provider and Protector

B. The psalmist says, "5I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. 6I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side.

C. The bread of life Sustains us By being my Guard "I will take care of you"

9The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow,

D. The bread of Life Sustains us by Being My Help

Psalmist says 4Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. I lift mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh in the name of the Lord

4. The bread of life Saves YOU

Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."

A. The Bread of life saves by becoming the Lamb offered

was led like a lamb to the slaughter,

B. The bread of life saves by bearing the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

C. The Bread of Life saves us by being delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

D. The bread of life Saves us by Hanging on an old rugged Cross
