The entire 25th chapter is about judgement and faithfulness to Christ’s Gospel

1:) BOTH RECEIVED THE SAME MESSAGE (THE Message is to LOVE) Jn3:16

Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself

1 John4:8 He that loveth not….. knoweth not God; for God is love.

2:) BOTH HAD THE SAME CALL (It was the call to serve)

Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

3:) THEY BOTH HAD OPPORTUNITY

Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few, 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

4:) THEY BOTH HAD A RESPONSE

One said oh Lord so that was YOU …the other said that was YOU?

5:) They Both Stood Against The Same Judgement

2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Silly people now days believe that LABOR in God’s field has no reward

6:) The Labor is Hard…….. (BUT ITS REWARDING)

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

7:) Judgement was the day the disobedient found out they are not the church

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus Christ is the Shepherd; he will shortly distinguish between those that are his, and those that are not.

The good news is there is time to change your life and direction today (today is the day)

Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
