The Best Offense Is A Good Defense

Summary: With many Universities football program gearing up, they are seeking the best defense. I found the ultimate. Check it out! ! !
THE BEST OFFENSE IS A GOOD DEFENSE
Psalms 94:22
(22) But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
This time of year, all of the college football teams in America are trying to put together a game plan to win the National Championship title.
Someone once said, “The Best Offense Is A Good Defense.”
And a lot of Universities football programs believe this to be true.
Because of their belief, many teams place more emphasis on the defensive side of the ball.
They seek to acquire the very best defensive players.
They seek to acquire the best defensive coaches.
They try to implement the best defensive strategy for their teams
This year, every team in America will have put together a defensive plan that they believe will give them the best chance to win the National Championship title.
And I began to think as I read this passage this week;
“Hey, I too have set out to win”
“But there’s something bigger at stake in my life than the National Title!”
“It’s God, it’s Heaven, and getting there through my Holy Bible!”
You see, I have found in this very Bible the best defensive package in America.
It is called Jesus!
Jesus is not only the best defense we can have, he is the only defense we have to win!
You won’t win because of your good deeds
You won’t win because of who your parents are/were
If you win it will be because, “the Lord is your defense!”
Hey I’m on God’s team tonight, how about you?
And the Lord is my defense!
I said, God is my defense!
Those of us here tonight that are saved, we need not try to put a strategy together.
Because the victory is already ours!
No matter who the opposing team may be;
No matter what type of game plan they may bring;
If we are on God’s team, we have the best defense.
“The Best Offence Is A Good Defense” and through Jesus Christ we can’t lose!
