Summary: There is no better gift

Christmas for me as a Kid was great; even though as a family things were tight, there always seemed to be lots of presents plus stacks of food and drink. Probably the best present I ever receive and still remember, was when I got a three wheeled bike, actually tricycle from my nanna. Boy was that special. It was chain driven, (high tech for those days) so it rode much more like a bike than a tricycle. It even made me over look the fact that I should have mastered the two wheel model by now. This tricycle was my freedom, no more would I complain of going to the shop for mum; try to stop me now was my attitude.. It seemed for me I could now go basically anywhere whenever. One of my favorite spots was the local swimming pool. I even ran a business, charging the older kids 5 cents to ride once around the pool; they usually paid by empty bottles I would return for the deposit. I still remember crying when one of the older boys rode my tricycle into the pool for fun. I Loved that bike; it did so much for me. What a great gift for a boy!

Great as it was, still I’ve got to tell you about another gift that was even better; which I received when still a young man. And that was the gift from God to me of his son. Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ his son. That is, and will always be my greatest gift. For me to receive this gift however; I had to accept it, open it. I thank God that I did, because it’s been the greatest thing that’s happen to me. No matter how hard you try, you can’t understand it’s value, how precious it is until you accept it. .It fills all needs! it gives freedom, peace joy love acceptance. How do you accept it? By asking God into your life; accepting Jesus as your saviour. Now my wonderful tricycle got old and I grew out of it; but I tell you from experience the longer you have God’s gift the better it becomes it doesn’t fade or rust away. God’s gift is available any time of the year; you don’t have to wait to Christmas to open it. It’s not about whether your a good or bad; so what are you waiting for? Isn’t it time you opened it; speak to the ministry. What ever you do don’t leave it wrapped, because anything else you receive, I mean anything else can not be compared to God’s gift.. Isn’t it time you opened it
