Summary: The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the result of the Holy Spirit's presence in the life of a Christian

Text:Galatians 5:22-23

Theme: The Believers Rule’s (Guidelines)

I. Believers are motivated by the Holy Spirit of God, not self-motivated.

a. 2 Corinthians 5:5

- He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

b. 1 Corinthians 7:17

- Each of you should continue to live in whatever situation the Lord has placed you, and remain as you were when God first called you. This is my rule for all the churches.

II. Believers should bring forth fruit unto God

a. Matthew 7:18

- "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

b. Galatians 5:22-23

- “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the result of the Holy Spirit's presence in the life of a Christian.

III. To Fulfill the obligations bestowed before us on earth.

A. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be

ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

B. God Provides

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

C. God's Love

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

D. Know God's Word

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8

E. God's Adoptive Process

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

F. Trusting God

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

G. Our Priority

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
