Summary: We must follow him in his likeness

THE BELIEVERS ATTITUDE AND RELATIONS TO CHRIST

Philippians 4:8-9 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

1. Act like him.

Colossians 3:23 - And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Walk like him.

Serve him with you heart not body.

2. Sacrific to him.

Hebrews 13:15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.

Be fruitful to him.

Give thanks for ever thing by you lips.

3. Have the right spirit

Matthew 5:3 - Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

We need the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

This is our way to heaven.

4. New mind new heart.

Colossians 3:10 - And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Be like because he lives in you.

Let his mind be in you put the world out.

5. Fear the Lord not man.

Psalms 139:14 - I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.

James 4:10 - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Praise God for what he has done.

Praise for the works he has done in you.

Get humble in his sight.

6. Confess our sins.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

He will clean us up if we ask.

He will heal the pain.

He will give us peace and joy..

He will let us be gentle and kind.
