2Cor 10:3-5 By now we are completely aware that we are in a battle (That battle is a spiritual battle) and that battle must be fought with spiritual weapons.

*It doesn’t matter how powerful your weapons are they are worthless if you do not know how to use them or you simply refuse to use them.

*(Many Christian are defeated because they do not know what their weapons are)

*(Many others are defeated because they simply fail to use their weapons)

2Cor 10:4 We are told that the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God.

Mighty = Possible, strong, powerful, able to do something, Having power for something,

Pulling down= destruction, demolition, With the use of force throw down or cast down.

No Christian can expect to be victorious in spiritual warfare who has not become proficient with the sword of the spirit = the word of God.

Your word and my word has no authority at all over Satan’s kingdom, It is only God’s word that lives in your heart coming out of your mouth that breaks Satan’s power.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

*Only as you live by the word of God can you fight by the word of God, It is only the word that you live that becomes the sword of the spirit for you.

That is why David refused Sauls armor (he hadn’t lived by sauls armor so he could not fight with sauls armor).

2Sam 23:9-10 One of David’s mighty men in battle named Eleazar rose up against the philistines and he smote them until his hand was weary and clave to the sword,

(One definition of the word Clave is to become joined to) = To become one with.

When we become one with the word of God, and it lives in us and breathes in us, and it speaks through us, Then we are guaranteed mighty victories.

*Gods success strategy for Joshua was simple (Josh 1:8)

Keep my words in front of your eyes, and keep them coming out of your mouth.

*For Gods word to be the powerful effective sword of the spirit in your life it must be coming out of your mouth.

It was not what Jesus knew, or believed, or meditated upon that defeated Satan: It was (It is written coming out of his mouth by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Some people have been saved for many years, but their sword of the spirit is about the size of a toothpick. (The bible is full of powerful truth that will defeat the enemy, but it is only the truth that lives in your heart that will defeat Satan in your life).

**THE WORD OF GOD IS THE ARMORY FROM WHICH WE DRAW OUR WEAPONS**

Remember the scripture says the (weapons) of our warfare

*We need to Identify the blood of Jesus as one of the great weapons of our warfare.

All through the bible God gave special place to the blood, (the life of the flesh is in the blood, for this reason when man sinned there had to be a sacrifice blood had to be shed.

(The life of the animal was given in place of the worshipper)

Le 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

When the death angel passed through Egypt and slew the first born of every House it was only those under the shed blood of the lamb who were spared.

Then when Jesus Came as the last and final sacrifice it was necessary that as the sacrificial lamb his blood had to be shed, (any man could die for man or in mans place) but only Christ’s blood could meet the righteous demands of God, For Only Christ’s blood was without the sin nature of adam.

Only sinless blood could wash away sin.

When we apply or plead the blood of Jesus you are confronting Satan with the reality that there was one man who came to this earth born of a woman, but his blood was free from the sinful adamic nature. He lived in this sinful earth but never sinned,

and that very same blood is now the life’s blood of the new creation in Christ Jesus.

It was this very blood that Satan so joyfully spilled that has redeemed us from Satan’s power and given us our royal heritage as Sons of the living God.

And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony
