Summary: There is no blessed hope in any other but in Jesus Christ. As Christians, we can look forward to His coming with excitement and joy.

2 Timothy 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

4. What will we be like?

Read 2 Corinthians 5:1-5

A. As Christians, we have eternity within us NOW thru the power of the Holy Spirit within us.

B. We will not spend an eternity as disembodied spirits

C. Our earthly bodies make us groan and ache, but when we die we will put on perfect bodies that will last for an eternity.

5. One day we will have new bodies just like Christ.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

6. How is all of this going to happen?

A. By the Resurrection of the dead in Christ and the Transformation and translation (Harpazo) Harpooning, catching away of the believers who are still alive when that time comes.

7. When is this going to happen?

A. It could be any day now.

There is no greater incentive to live for Christ.

Our blessed Hope is a promise of Christ’s return to take us to heaven.

Jesus says "I go to prepare a place for YOU.... so that where I am there you may be also"

Is He preparing a place for you? Only if you have been born again.

behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
