The Act Of Worship
Contributed by Rev. Dr. Indrani Baboolal on Sep 7, 2022 (message contributor)
Summary: Worship to the true and Living God has a main attribute and that is Holiness and Righteousness. Worship is not a ritual, it is a condition of the heart each and every day of our lives.

SCRIPTURE Romans 12:1, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God,
this is your spiritual act of worship.”
INTRODUCTION:
Man was created to worship God. The Psalmist said in Psalms 150:6 Let
everything that has breath praise the Lord. As we were given the breath of life
through the breath of God, it is our first portion of God the Father and we were
given breath to worship Him alone. When mankind fell from God’s grace into
sin the act of worship became distorted and perverted as man seek to find
alternatives to worship instead of facing God the Father whom was betrayed by
flesh. Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God give us a living breathing
example on the earth through His life the perfect examples of worship to the
Father as He do the will of the Father.
The Scriptures as Paul writes gives us a clear indication that worship to God the
Father is one that has physical and spiritual contributions to perfect the act of
worship. We submit to carry God’s glory in us through the Holy Ghost and He
demands that the body, spirit and soul which are the Vessel are Holy as He is
Holy. Worship to God the Father is not an ordinary act. It is but an act of
waking up God and persuading Him to turn in our direction, to hear us, to
search our hearts and to favor us.
What challenging act worship is to the body, soul and spirit of man? How can
we approach this God of the heavens if we are not holy and lift up a voice that
betrays God? Why do we worship God and still cannot conform to His
attributes of Holiness and righteousness? I ask these questions as I view the
church with all its encroachment and normal practices that has strayed from
worship to the Father. We become endangered as we approach a Holy God
with our worship even more so when it is flawed with the flesh of sins,
iniquities and transgressions. Jesus Christ said to the Samaritan woman at the
well “Now the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth”.
What a demand placed on the worshipper to raise the standard of their living in
the earth and in the spirit, wholly dependent on a God of truth.
1. THE HUMAN BODY & SOUL
Genesis 1:27 KJV So God created man in his own image, in the image of God
created he him; male and female created he them.
The physical body of man is a template of the original which is God the Father.
We are mirrored with a sovereign supreme majestic God. His image outlines
our physique with eyes like His, Hands like His, Hears like His, Mouth and
voice Like His, all that He is we are also.
We are likened to Him as we can speak with authority; God gave Adam
authority on the earth to have dominion, to subdue, to multiply, and to
replenish. He was given the ability name every creature great and small.
Adam’s job was intertwined in searching out the creatures as their habitation
was with him. He was accountable to God the Father for the task that was given
to him. Even the woman that God made as a helper for Adam, Adam was
accountable for.
-We have to give accountability to God the Father for our task on the earth.
-We are not our own. We are made by God and fashioned by Him.
-We are to live in His presence as our first estate dictates.
-We are made to mirror the Holiness and Righteousness of God.
-We are made to obey and not revolt the word of God.
-We are to protect our bodies and souls from the consumption/consuming
devices and plans of satanic influences and the world
-We are to guard our human spirit from connecting to the seducing evil spirits
of Satan as Eve connected with the seducing plots of Satan in the Garden of
Eden.
-Our sacrifice of worship is to carefully consider our body, Soul and spirit as we
live and breathe in the earth in keeping ourselves presentable to God the Father.
This must be on the frontlets of our mind each moment as we live. The blood of
Jesus has made it even better for us as if by chance we slip from grace the blood
will keep us.
-These are our Living sacrifices, the act of being a replica of Christ on the earth.
-As hard as that may seem, we are undoubtedly called and set apart to practice
and produce as He did through the Kingdom of God and of His love and of His
