That Year!

This is heaven’s strategy!

John 11:49 But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all”..

I am so excited about the above portion, especially the words “who was high priest that year”! Stay with me for a profound word..

“That year” should not be overlooked and hastily read because God’s plan is inside it, God would keep specific people in specific positions for His purpose, are you listening? This is heaven’s strategy, awesomely orchestrated by God! He would do the same in our lives too..

ESTHER: Please understand, when a great miracle happens in your life, the devil is not going to be a passive audience for it, he is now going to move his next coin to destroy the miracle; did not the enemy promote Haman the Agagite (Esther 3:1) to a high position when Esther became the queen: Esther 3: Haman's Plot against the Jews “After these events King Ahasuerus promoted Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him and established his authority over all the princes who were with him.” Esther was brought to that ‘hot seat as queen’ in THAT YEAR’ not to enjoy the privileges of the palace and bask in its opulence but she was given that position for the deliverance of the Jews in the city of Susan. This is heaven’s strategy! Dear friend, today look around and ask God, ‘why am I here in this city, job, position etc, what is your purpose in my life?

CAIAPHAS THE CHIEF PRIEST: ‘ V 47 the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council, and were saying, "What are we doing? For this man is performing many signs.” Did you see that? The enemy is not happy with your promotion, so cover yourself with prayer. The priests were not concerned about the welfare of the Jews or the people but they were afraid that the Romans would take away ‘both their place and nation’, selfish motive. Caiaphas the chief priest ‘THAT YEAR’, (the year when there would be a shift in the history of the whole world through the death of Jesus Christ) even though he was a wicked man prophetically said that “one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.” Caiaphas thought he was speaking in favor of the Pharisees but he did not know God was using his position and tongue to speak the plan of heaven. Say Amen.

TONGUES: Yes, tongues of all men are in the hands of God! God used the donkey to speak to Balaam and restrained Balaam from cursing the people of Israel. How wonderful! Clap hands for God! The same tongue which is now cursing and taunting you, if you stay faithful, true, loyal to God, He would turn that tongue to praise and bless you.

REBEKAH: I would like to talk about the awesome prayer of Eliezer, trusted servant of Abraham, native of Damascus. his most prominent role was facilitating the marriage of Isaac and Rebeka. While he was on his journey to find a wife for Isaac: he prayed:

Genesis 24: 42 "So I came today to the spring, and said, 'O LORD, the God of my master Abraham, if now You will make my journey on which I go successful;

43 behold, I am standing by the spring, and may it be that the maiden who comes out to draw, and to whom I say, "Please let me drink a little water from your jar";

44 and she will say to me, "You drink, and I will draw for your camels also"; let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master's son.'

Now watch this, God was hearing this faith-filled, wholehearted, surrendered prayer of Eliezer ,

So now God was working things out for the family of Abraham, God not only brought the ‘appointed girl Rebekah’ to the exact scene where Eliezer stood with his camels but He also used her TONGUE TO REVEAL THE PLANS OF GOD. She said:

'Drink, and I will water your camels also';(verse 46) Wow, clap hands for God! When we faithfully follow God, there would be no confusion, angst or worry, He will take to you still waters and green pastures. Say amen.

MY TESTIMONY:

I was called for an interview with a huge multinational bank for the position of Executive Secretary for the Vice President of the Bank, (plum position) my husband took me for the interview. My husband told me that there was huge crowd that day waiting in front of the HR office. I was called inside and interviewed for half hour by the Vice President himself. He left and then I was told by the HR office that I was selected, within a short time the interview was over and the crowd were sent away. God would keep specific people in specific positions for His purpose, are you listening? The Vice President was God’s chosen man to give me entry into the bank, it was while working in this multinational bank that I became seriously ill and was in death bed during my second pregnancy, God healed me and I delivered a baby boy who is now an Associate Pastor. After the miracle I started part time ministry in the office, and many of my friends and colleagues got saved and took immersion water baptism. Later I resigned in the year 2004 to join full time ministry. Therefore, I was given ‘THAT POSITION’ not to make money but to win souls.

God who began a good work in you would never leave you nor forsake you. Stay rooted in faith and trust His power, someone needs to hear this today.
