Thanksgiving

The worst thing in the world is an ungrateful soul. We are all alike in our makeup. We like to be thanked for the things we do. How many times would you go back to the same person doing kind and good things for them if they never said thank you? Yet many people are the same way toward God. Romans 1:21. tomorrow is Thanksgiving. May each of us stop to give thanks unto God. As a church, we have more to be thankful for than any other I know in this area. As individuals, we have much to be thankful for if we will just count our blessings and name them one by one.

I. What Do We Have to Be Thankful Unto God for?

1. A savior. Suppose there was no way for you and me to be saved.

2. The greatest gift in the world, Luke 2:11. 2 Corinthians 15

3. we can be thankful we are not in hell. Millions are in hell tonight. There's nothing to be thankful for there.

4. We can be thankful we live in a land of plenty and are not starving tonight.

5. We can be thankful for our homes in Christian families.

6. We can be thankful for our church and freedom of worshipping God.

II. Why We Should be Thankful

1. All things exist by him, Colossians 1:16-17

2. it is God's will that we give thanks, 1 Thessalonians 5:18

3. it is a good thing and sweetness to us, psalms 92:1-2

III. When Should We Give Thanks?

1. At all times.

2. We enjoy God's blessings at all times.

3. Psalm 34:1
