Summary: How we should be thankful for what he has and will do for us.

Thanksgiving for our Lord.

(1) Come to the Lord.

Psalms 95: 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Psalms 100: 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Let’s make a joyful noise to him.

Enter with thanksgiving and praise.

You are in the holy place of God.

Be thankful for all he has done for us.

(2) We are in his presence.

Psalms 69: 1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

We are in his presence right now.

He is our rock our salvation

Are you standing on the rock?

Are you thankful for and to him?

(3) Give unto the Lord.

Psalms 50: 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Are we paying our vows to him have we forgot.

When in trouble who do we call?

He will deliver you.

Now give God the Glory.

2 Corinthians 4: 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

(4) Let God know.

Philippians 4: 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

Prayer Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Supplication Psalms 28:6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

Thanksgiving Psalms 100:4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

(5) Don’t let God down.

Colossians 4: 2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Revelation 7: 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
