I’m thankful for many things today. I’m thankful for my wife Brenda in which we have been through bad times and good

for over 45 years. Our two sons Keith and Kevin. When your children go through trials, troubles and life threating

situations they never get any older to a parent than they were when you picked them up from a fall as a child and

ask….”are you ok buddy? As children get older they seem to know more than their parents. They think they know how to

be a better parent, know how to discipline their children better, how to do everything better but, they can never love their

children any more than we love them. Also thankful for our son’s wife’s Pam and Jess an added branch of blessings.

Oh my goodness…..how can I ever say enough and just how thankful I am for our 5 Grandchildren and now a Greatgrandchild.

There are not enough words to express the feeling and love I have for such God given blessings.

Living can so easily turn into surviving in this frail world in which we live. There is no guarantee of success, happiness, or

health in life.

The only guarantee is problems and death.

Look at what Apostle Paul said he went through in 2 Corinthians 25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned,

thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils

of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in

perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst,

in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

But, then he said in Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with

the glory which shall be revealed in us

What makes the differents? Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be

that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

The richest person on earth won't have as much as the poorest saint in Heaven. The happiest person on earth won't be as

happy as the saddest saint in Heaven. He that is least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than the greatest man on earth.

I Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the

things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I think when we come to accept that God is in control of all things, we will be much better prepared to deal with whatever

hardships and sufferings He may choose to send our way.

With all the troubles, heartache and suffering… nothing is to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us when

we see our Saviour. Can’t help but to think of that old song that goes…..What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall

see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand And leads me

through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and we pray for each one.

Love in Christ Jesus, Ronnie Miller www.themillersbiblestudy.com
