TEN PROMISES FROM ISAIAH 43:1-5
(Isa 43:1 KJV) But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. (Isa 43:2 KJV) When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (Isa 43:3 KJV) For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. (Isa 43:4 KJV) Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. (Isa 43:5 KJV) Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
I. Fear not!
(2 Tim 1:7 KJV) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
A. God wants us to walk in Faith, not fear. Fear is the opposite of Faith.
B. Fear cannot live where there is faith.
C. Faith cannot work where there is fear.
D. Love of God casts out all fear.
(Gen 15:1 KJV) After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
A. I especially like this promise, because my name is Abram too.
B. We do not fear, as God is our shield. This is why the Word tells us to put on the whole armor of God.
C. God is our everlasting reward.
(Deu 1:21 KJV) Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
E. God never intends for us to be discouraged. If God be for us who can be against us. Praise the Lord! Romans 8:31
II. Redeemed thee!
(Isa 44:22 KJV) I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
A. He bought us back with His blood.
B. He went clear to Hell for us and defeated the devil on his own turf. Jesus overcame, death, grave and hell itself.
III. Called thee by thy name!
(Isa 45:4 KJV) For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
A. Surname means He has given us a family name.
B. We are called by His Name!
C. We are his very own.
(2 Chr 7:14 KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
(Acts 11:26 KJV) And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
D. He knows everything about us.
(Mat 10:30 KJV) But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
IV. Thou are mine!
(John 1:12 KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
A. He is our Father and we are His children.
B. We belong to Him and He belongs to us.
V. I will be with thee!
(Josh 1:5 KJV) There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
A. He is with us when we walk the valley.
B. He is with us when we face the mountain.
C. He knows our frame, our strength and weakness and never gives us more than we can bear. 1 Cor. 10:13
VI. I am the Lord!
(Lev 20:7 KJV) Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
(Ezek 20:19 KJV) I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
A. I try to start each morning by saying that Jesus Christ is Lord of my spirit, Lord of my mind and Lord of my body.
B. I want to give no place to the devil.
