Summary: The story of Jesus is so wonderful to me, that it just can’t be spoken with words, it must be sung!

INTRODUCTION

TELL ME THE STORY OF JESUS: Tell me the story of Jesus, write on my heart every word, tell me the story most precious, Sweeter than ever was heard!

Points:

I. JESUS PAID IT ALL Matthew 27:27-50

I hear the Savior say, “Thy strength indeed is small, Child of weakness watch and pray, Find in Me thine all in all.” Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, but He washed it white as snow!

II. HE LIVES Luke 24:1-8

I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today. I know that He is living whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him, He’s always near. He lives, He lives Christ Jesus lives today. He walks with me and talks with me, along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, Salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart!

III. IN MY HEART THERE RINGS A MELODY Luke 24:13-16; 28-35

I have a song that Jesus gave me, It was sent from Heaven above; There never was a sweeter melody ‘Tis the melody of love. In my heart there rings a melody, there rings a melody with heavens harmony; In my heart there rings a melody, there rings a melody of love.

IV. GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD Matthew 28:16-20

Far, far away, in heathen darkness dwelling, Millions of souls forever may be lost; Who, who will go, salvation’s story telling, Looking to Jesus minding not the cost? All power is given unto Me, All power is given unto Me, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel, And lo, I am with you always!

V. HE IS COMING AGAIN John 14:1-7

He’s coming again, He’s coming again, The very same Jesus rejected of men; He’s coming again, He’s coming again, With power and great glory He is coming again!

CONCLUSION

When I was young my parents were in a children’s book club, and as a result I had hundreds of books. Every night as my parents would tuck me into bed, they would grab one of the stories off the shelf and read it to me. But you know what as I got older, I told my parents that I didn’t like them reading me the stories, I was too old! After a while they stopped reading the children’s stories all together. But you know the one thing that they never stopped doing? Was reading to me the story of Jesus! What’s the difference? The difference is that the story of Jesus is not a story at all, it’s the truth! The truth is that Jesus has paid it all! He was crucified on a cross and laid in a tomb, but death was not His matter and neither does death need be our Master, Why? Because HE LIVES! And because HE LIVES, In My Heart There Rings a Melody! A melody that I can face to tomorrow, a melody of hope in hopeless times, a melody of strength when I am weak, a melody that offers life, because I know My Savior Lives! And because I know Jesus paid it all, and because I know He Lives and because of the melody that is ringing in my heart, I will go in all the world! I will proclaim that Jesus is alive, I will tell of His goodness and His grace, I will tell of how He has changed my life! But most importantly I will tell that one day He is Coming again!
