Summary: You can’t present a sacrifice, unless you are in His presence! A sacrifice always dies. When you come into his glory you will die! Holiness will be the resurrection fruit of this death!

Suddenly Glory fills the house.

Ian Johnson

Mar 2, 2005

SUDDENLY GLORY FILLS THE HOUSE.

Suddenly ~ Straightway~ Speedily~ Instantly. : These are all words used with regularity in the Bible.

The same sudden, instant, unexpected thing happened to the Prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah 6:1-7 (NLT) In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. 2 Hovering around him were mighty seraphim, each with six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with the remaining two they flew. 3 In a great chorus they sang, "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty! The whole earth is filled with his glory!" 4 The glorious singing shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire sanctuary was filled with smoke. 5 Then I said, "My destruction is sealed, for I am a sinful man and a member of a sinful race. Yet I have seen the King, the LORD Almighty!" 6 Then one of the seraphim flew over to the altar, and he picked up a burning coal with a pair of tongs. 7 He touched my lips with it and said, "See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven. Isaiah had a sudden transformation, from sinful man 5 Then I said, "My destruction is sealed, for I am a sinful man and a member of a sinful race. Yet I have seen the King, the LORD Almighty!" To a man in revival , "See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven. He was taken from one level to another, a place of sin to a place of holiness, from glory to glory! A sudden change from one season to a new season. This change was brought about by an act of God. When God visits town the doors & the posts are shaken V3. In Acts 4 when the disciples prayed for great boldness and a fresh visitation from God there was a great shaking Acts 4:31. This took the total of people coming to Christ from thousands to great multitudes! In Matthew 28 the resurrection Gods greatest visitation caused an Earthquake Matt 28:2 "Suddenly there was a great earthquake" Haggai 2:6 6 "For this is what the LORD Almighty says: In just a little while I will again shake the heavens and the earth. I will shake the oceans and the dry land, too. 7 I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will come to this Temple. I will fill this place with glory, says the LORD Almighty. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD Almighty. 9 The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the LORD Almighty. And in this place I will bring peace. I, the LORD Almighty, have spoken!"

When the earth shakes and world systems shake, then treasures will come into the temple The Lord will fill this place with his Glory!

Which takes us back to the place where his glory dwells, in that place where Isaiah saw the Lord and the four living creatures which surround the throne.

When Isaiah saw the Lord he was never the same. Which takes me back to our greatest need in Church today It is not how good our systems are or how tried and true our programs are, but how much of a revelation of the living God do we have. When we see the Lord our hearts are completely captured.

People in revival just want to see the Lord People in revival just want to hear the Lord People in revival just want to be with the Lord.

Paul was hit by this revival as he was heading toward Damascus Peter was hit by this revival when on the rooftop praying and the vision came down The Ethiopian was hit by this revival when Philip turned up out of nowhere In 1976 I was hit by this revival when the room filled up with his presence Samuel Marsden had an encounter that caused him to come to NZ in 1814

George Williams had an encounter that caused him to bring revival to the cook Islands in 1800’s

Every revival has one thing in common. They see God in all his glory! The Glory is God’s but the response is mans. The choice is ours! We can continue in our program filled lives or we can see God and die! (to ourselves) We can live in a desert or we can walk into the realms of glory.

God never changes. So revival is always available, we just need to see His glory and die! God is Holy, that’s why the living creatures always cry Holy Holy Holy!
