Suddenly...
Psalms 65:11 NKJ
11 You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.
Did you ever notice something and it seems so suddenly new, but then you discover that it's always been there. The only thing different is, that you finally became aware of it.
It's kind of like that when you finally become aware of how much Love, God has for you! Because when you do, you suddenly become aware of how good He is to His children.
When I read a verse like this and I think of all the things that God has done
for me personally and still God tells me that He wants to do more.
I'm constantly encouraged, because I know that no matter what God has good things in store for me and the my cup runs over.
Still Others will look at a verse like this and say the exact opposite.
As we go through life, most of us find ourselves in two different states of mind. Either were on top of the world and things are going great for us. Or were
down in the valley and things aren't going the way we like them to go, or
they could certainly be better to say the least.
1st state of mind
Sometimes in our lives we find ourselves at a point where we have experienced God's goodness. And then we going to what we think is a time of rest, or a count you blessings state of mind.
And after a period of time goes by, we begin to think ok God now what? How in
the world could you top what you accomplished for me last year, or last time.
And instead of resting on what God can do in your life. You go from resting,
to the try to figure it out mode, but yet once again.
2nd state of mind.
You've had things go good for you in the past. You have found yourself on the mountain, you've also found yourself in the valley, only this time it's different.
Because this time the valley seems bigger then it's been before. This time
it seems as though there's no way you can see the mountain. And instead of
resting on what God has done in the past for you. This time you don't think
He can figure it out for you and He needs your help?
Friends and family, doctors and others may have given you a less then encouraging outlook. And this time your circumstances seem so much
bigger than Gods possibilities!
Now I want you know that God has never left either situation that I have
described. His capabilities and desire to help have never wavered.
He still wants to and stands ready at a moments notice, to do miraculous
things in your lives, to show both His goodness and abundance!
Thing is, what are you expecting? What's coming out of your mouth?
Are you speaking words of life over your situation?
Luke 11:9-13 MSG
9 “Here’s what I’m saying:
Ask and you’ll get;
Seek and you’ll find;
Knock and the door will open.
10-13 “Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing—you’re at least decent to your own children. And don’t you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?”
And TBS. When we ask, it should always be in faith, expectance and with
thanksgiving in our heart.
In other words always come with the attitude that your cup is
about to run over, not run out! Amen?
Eph. 5:18-20 MSG.
16-18. Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.
Even though, sometimes you may not always feel like doing what the bible says to do, No matter what is going on in life, if you are willing to look, you can find a reason to thank God.
TBS. Whether a person realizes or not. You are snared by the words that
Come out of your mouth. Which means, sooner or later what comes out
of your mouth is what comes into your life!
Each and everyday, everyone of us make a choice. Either our cup is
running over or its running out, we are the decider!
Joshua 24:15 MSG
15 “If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.”
