Steps to living a Blessed life

1Peter 3: 10

10. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.

11. Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

12. The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are opened to their prayers: but the face of the lord is against them that do evil.

We are living in a time when people are seeking self gratification. They want to be successful. Moreover, they want people to see that they are doing well. Hence, they spare no effort in amassing things such as good clothes, some apartments, a nice home, and a fine car. This is a time, when one is seen to be blessed based on the abundance of the things which they possessed. It is almost inconceivable in this time to equate being blessed with being poor. If you don’t have good things, many would say you’re not blessed.

I want to point our this morning, that being blessed goes beyond how much material things we have; to what our attitude is towards life in general. Being blessed signifies contentment and fulfillment regardless of circumstances whether they are good or bad. Furthermore, being blessed, means to have a right relationship with God and to follow his precepts and his instructions. Today I shall unveil the secrets of how to have good days, how to be promoted by God, how to overcome Satan, and where God’s eyes and his ears are and one thing God resists.

If the question is asked how many of us love life and would wish to see good days, I believe all hands would go up. If I ask a follow up question, how many of us know how to see good days, I believe there would be as many answers as the amount of persons here assemble.

The bible makes it Clear that if we are to love life and to see good days we must:

1. Refrain our tongue from evil

2. We must refrain our lips from speaking guile.

3. WE must eschew evil

4. We must do good

5. We must seek peace

6. We must ensure that peace exists

Let me now explain to you who God promotes.

In order to be promoted by God the Bible says we must:

1. be clothes in humility

2. Humble ourselves under the mighty hands of God

3. Cast all of our cares upon him

God gives grace to the humble

God will exalt you in DUE time

Let me share with you one of the simple yet profound ways to overcome Satan

1. Be sober

2. Be vigilant

3. Resist him steadfast in the faith

The devil as a roaring lion, walketh abut seeking whom he may devour

This morning, I admonish each of you, to expect a blessing every day. Look for miracles, acknowledge them and give God thanks.

Further I want each of you to know that Jesus Christ has died, he has risen and he will come again. This is the blessed hope and the mystery of the gospel.

Be assured this morning, that the god of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus after we have suffered a while will make us perfect, stablish us, strengthen us and settle us.
