Stepping Stone Or Stumbling Block

Acts 27:1, 6, 9-11, 14-15, 18-25, 31, 40-44

Have you ever consider how that what saved some was an obstacle to others.

I Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

I Corinthians 1:23 “But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;”

Some stumble at: Worship Others use it as a Stepping Stone

Some stumble at: Jesus Name Others use it as a Stepping Stone

Some stumble at: One God Others use it as a Stepping Stone

Some stumble at: Holiness Others use it as a Stepping Stone

Some stumble at: Altar Others use it as a Stepping Stone

I Peter 2:5-8: “5- Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6- Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7- Unto you therefore which believe [he is] precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8- And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.”
