STEP INTO THE NEW SEASON. Part 2
Written by Senior Pastor Ndayiragije Misigaro Joel. October 18, 2023
Step into the new season, a time of change and transformation. In the Bible, seasons hold significant symbolism and represent different spiritual phases. They reflect the cyclical nature of life and the divine order in which everything operates. From the fruitful season of abundance to the barren season of reflection, each holds a deeper meaning that can guide our understanding and faith.
Sometimes God refuses to change the seasons because He wants to change the heart of a person.
Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah reminds us that God has the power to bring about new beginnings and transformations, even in the most challenging and desolate times. It serves as a reminder that while the cyclical nature of seasons is a reflection of divine order, God also has the ability to bring about unexpected changes and miracles in our lives.
1. THE NEW THING
What God promises to do is something that has never been seen or experienced before. It is a manifestation of His power and creativity, bringing forth new life and possibilities in the midst of barrenness and despair. This brand-new thing defies our understanding and expectations and is instead proof of God's limitless capacity for transformation and renewal. It is a beacon of hope that reminds us to trust in His plans, even when we cannot see the way forward. This verse encourages us to have faith and trust in God's ability to make a way where there seems to be no way and to believe that He can bring abundance and blessings even in the most unlikely circumstances.
1 John 5:14 “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
Do you remember the blind Bartimaeus who called out to Jesus for healing despite the discouragement of those around him? Despite his physical limitations, Bartimaeus had faith that Jesus could restore his sight, and he boldly approached Him with confidence. This verse in 1 John reminds us that we too can approach God with confidence, knowing that He hears our prayers and will answer them according to His will. Just as Bartemeau experienced miraculous healing, we can trust that God is always listening and working in our lives, even when we face discouragement or limitations. Our faith in God's power and love can give us the courage to approach Him boldly, just like Bartemeau did. When we come to Him with confidence, we can trust that He will respond in ways that are best for us, even if they may not always be in the way we expect or desire.
From Mark 10:52, where Jesus says to him, "Go, your faith has healed you." This verse reminds us that our faith in God's power can bring about miraculous healing and restoration in our lives. It serves as a reminder to never underestimate the transformative power of our belief in Him.
2. THE WAY IN THE WILDERNESS
This can be challenging and uncertain, but if we maintain our faith in God, He will guide us through and provide for our needs. Just as Jesus led the Israelites through the desert, He will lead us through our own wilderness experiences and bring us to a place of abundance and fulfillment.
he journey through the wilderness may test our faith and resilience, but it is during these times that we grow and develop a deeper connection with God. As we rely on Him for strength and guidance, we learn to trust in His plan and find comfort in His presence, knowing that He will never abandon us.
One Bible verse that reminds us of God's faithfulness during our wilderness experiences is Isaiah 43:2, which says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." This verse reassures us that even in the midst of trials and challenges, God is always by our side, protecting and guiding us. It serves as a comforting reminder that no matter how difficult our circumstances may be, God's presence remains constant and unwavering. This verse encourages us to trust in God's faithfulness and to find strength in knowing that He will never leave us alone in our struggles.
3. RIVERS IN THE DESERT
These are a sign of how God provides and gives plenty even when things are hard and empty. God can bring blessings and healing to our most hopeless situations, just like rivers bring life and food to dry land. God will give us streams of hope, joy, and refreshment to quench our thirst and feed our minds when we feel like we are in a desert.
