Stay On track With Gods GPS Numbers 9:1-11, 15-19 (Numbers lesson)
The title is with Gods GPS...that's a good title because you can't always depend on mans GPS.
I sang in a church in Stoneville NC a few months ago...had the address to the church in my GPS...we turned the last turn to the right ..which was suppose to be the road the church was on...we ended up in a corn field.
I called the Pastor by cell phone and he said that everyone who uses a GPS to come to our church ends up in a corn field...so you for sure can't depend on mans GPS...it must be Gods guidance.
You can't depend on yourself or anybody else to give guidance for your life.

Numbers 9:1-5 (KJV)
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.
3 In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
4 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.
5 And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
It was now the second year after Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, and the nation was to observe the Passover.
This feast was the constant reminder that their redemption depended on the blood of the lamb and the power of God.
Every blessing they experienced came through the blood, even as with the church today.
Passover is: The celebration of Passover is in remembrance of the time in Israel’s history when the angel of the Lord moved through Egypt destroying the firstborn of all people and animals (see Exodus 11 and 12.)
This was the final of the ten plagues God placed upon Egypt designed to force Pharaoh to let the Israelites leave the country and their captivity.
The Israelites were commanded by God to take the blood of a male lamb—one without blemish—and smear it on the doorposts of their houses.
When the angel of the Lord saw the blood, he would “pass over” that house.
This is a foreshadowing of the spotless Lamb of God, Jesus, whose blood would cover the sins of those who believe in Him, causing God’s judgment to pass over them.
Ever since that night, Jews have celebrated the Passover in remembrance of God’s grace to them.

Numbers 9:6-11 (KJV)
6 And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:
7 And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?
8 And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.
9 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.
11 The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
Here were certain men who were defiled by a dead body so that they could not keep the Passover. They came and reported it to Moses and Aaron and asked what they should do.
Notice that Moses said stand still....He went to God right then..
when should we go to God when things come up in our life?
God used Moses to speak to His people....Jesus died...now God uses the Holy Spirit to speak to us....each of us has more than a Moses that lives within us ....we have God
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God:

Numbers 9:15-19 (KJV)
15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
