Summary: We should stand on what we believe! We should stand on what we confess! We should stand on who we are, and what we are! We should stand on God’s promises!

1 Cor. 15:1-2-Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

Gospel-The Good News….The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus!

Received-The gospel will tell you that Jesus died for your sins, and the gospel will tell you that God loves you, and the gospel will tell you that God offers you eternal life through His Son; but unless you personally receive that truth, it will not be yours.

A soap manufacturer and an evangelical preacher were walking along together, the former not being a Christian. The soap maker said, "The Gospel you preach has not done much good, for there is still a lot of wickedness, and thousands of wicked people." The preacher was silent awhile, and in a few moments they passed a child making mud pies in the street. He was exceedingly dirty. Then the preacher's turn came. "Soap has not done much good in the world, I see; for there is still much dirt, and ever so many dirty people!" "Oh, well," said the manufacturer, "soap is only useful when it is applied." "Exactly," replied the other, "so it is with the Gospel.

Stand-Acey, Logan, were trying to knock Dason to the ground, and little Logan went running as fast as he could right into Dason, it was like hitting a brick wall, and backwards Logan fell!

That is the way we should be when anything attacks us, attacks against our character, attacks against our beliefs, attacks against our family, things like slander, gossip, hurtful words, or doubt, We Should Stand And Not Waver!

We should stand on what we believe!

We should stand on what we confess!

We should stand on who we are, and what we are!

We should stand on God’s promises!

Standing on this platform, it is going to hold me up, it is sturdy, it has held up to 20 or 30 people at a time….Jesus Is The Foundation We Stand On!

There may be times when you have people who will stand with you!

There may be times when you stand alone!

You maybe the only one who stands up for what is right!

You maybe the only one who stand up for you faith, for your beliefs!

But trust me, you will not fall, you will not falter, and what you are doing is not in vain, when you put your trust and faith into the foundation that is found in Jesus Christ!

Only One Life, Twill Soon Be Past,

Only What’s Done For Christ Will Last.

Hold Fast-bond, bind, stick, stick to firmly

Hold on to something; grasp firmly; embrace it.

If you don’t hang on to the gospel firmly, everyday it will slip out of your hands!

Lose your salvation? No, but we get busy and we forget what Christ has done for us!

And when you do that, you lose your effectiveness, you lose your passion for Christ, you lose your zeal for the Lord, when we forget about the gospel, the gospel of His death, His burial, His resurrection and how important that is to us and how it can change lives, and how it changed our own life!
