SPIRITUAL SUFFERING: STEADFASTNESS OF FAITH
“BECAUSE OF YOUR TRUTH.”
In spiritual suffering, keep the truth, speak about the truth, and do not withhold any negative ideas. Within, the steadfastness of the faith is at risk of weakening. Always speak the truth. No matter what, God is the truthful one. "Not to us, O Lord, not to us, But to Your name give glory Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth." Psalm 115:1
In spiritual suffering, why the truth of God?
A. Helps us grow in all aspects.
The Apostle Paul writes; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head; even Christ, Ephesians 4:15
Growing here has to do with what you believe in, and how rooted your faith is. Mature believers understand that this discipline makes people grow in all aspects, whether spiritually or morally. Why? God delights in the truth. Moreover, scripture declares that “Our Yes should be Yes, and our No, should be No.”
Scripture says that the child grew, and became stronger in spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him. (Luke 2:40) Even at his young age, Jesus was with integrity, zealous and love about what the Father wanted him to do. He loved that and it is apparent that he grew in all aspects, in spirit and in wisdom.
The implication of this is that we are people vested with truth, and this truth is one of God’s characteristics. It should be part of us since we are his people. And when the truth disappears from us, we are shifting away from our steadfastness faith, and we are vulnerable. This robes us form knowing God in times of hardship.
The truth here is that many people seek God with what is around Him and not seeking what is in God himself. This creates problem in the sense that doing that places us outside the Holy Spirit's working parameters. We should understand that the Holy Spirit helps us hear, and obey God. In this way, even in our suffering, we will still know God's truth, and that is beyond our pain and agony.
The in-depth here comprises of:
? Spiritual wellness: This espouses the values of knowing the Holy Spirit in person, that all Christians receive the Holy Spirit when saved, but to experience his power is something else. The full manifestation of the Holy Spirit into the believer’s life will make effect of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to work properly. Thus, it would be difficult to know when God acts, speaks, or does things that need the believer’s attention.
For instance, the believers' above-mentioned Pentecost moves were just the same and only after the Pentecost event that they were fully made powerful. To the extent of expressing the truth about the gospel, Peter was deficient in the truth at Christ's arrest. Driven by fear of what was surrounding him. Spiritual wellness lacks the energy and boldness in sharing or communicating the truth when fearful.
? Mental strength: When in spiritual suffering, it is proper to hold on to the faith and refuse to give in to the pressure of suffering. So, being mentally active helps us to cope! with trial moments, damming of our defective faith. And develop a tolerance of discomfort which appears to be temporary. At that time, you become bold and courageous.
The flexibility not only keeps the momentum together but also makes a person kind through suffering. What is important is to protect the truth for God’s honor despite all the uncertainty.
It is thus, to keep on holding, and not letting go of happiness. And felt empathy for the truth. Can be lost as a result of persistent torture of events, or suffering. Controlled emotions and being resilient keeps a person noble.
? Emotionally strong: The person going through spiritual suffering! must maintain a good relationship with God and with other people. Coping and managing emotions well. Makes a person! Into taking rational decisions. Your positive relationship with Christ helps as a survival tool during times of pain.
You learn to better identify the rational in difficult situations that you are going through. Developing strength rather than focusing on weaknesses and the atrocious experience that suffering brings.
B. Judge with truth
The word of God is that tool fashioned to maintain us, in the way we should walk, and do certain things. But unfortunately, time after time, we investigate the word of God and cannot grasp the truth constructed to benefit in decision-making on matter at hand, whether suffering, or finding solutions for endless things. Judgment then misses the whole plan and the ways God designed to help.
We fail to pronounce judgment with truth, and God’s truth as portrayed in scripture for helping us pass judgment grounded and based on the truth of the word of God. Because the word of God is the formal agreement that exists between man and God, from generation to generation. Scripture says that the book of law must not depart from your mouth, meditate day and night and all your ways shall be successful? (Joshua 1:8)
