1. his ability to instruct others v.12
2. his ability to discern the true and false in religious teachings v.13b, Eph.4:14
3. his ability to advance from elementary teachings v.6:1
II. The reason of maturity
1. he can easily understand the word of God v.11
2. his eagerness to work for God continually v.6:11
(1 Tim. 4:14-15, James 1:4)
3. Through the practice, his ability to distinguish between good and evil v.14a
III. The result of maturity
1. he became a useful Christian v.7-8
2. God blesses him from his toiling v.9-10
3. he always received what God had promised in the Bible v.12
