Speak to Your Mountain

The Renewal of Israel:

The Multiplication of Men and Goods

Part 3 of a 3 Part Series

We have been talking for the past two sessions about the Prophetic Message of Ezekiel 36. In the first session the prophet was told to prophecy to the mountains and let the land know that God was bringing his people home. The mountains needed to begin producing provision for the people.

In the second session, we saw how God was doing a sovereign work and would restore and return Israel to her ancestral home. He would restore his reputation among the nations by glorifying his name in the lives of the very people who had profaned his name. Then he would put a new heart in them.

And so we pick up the teaching here in …..

Ezekiel 36:28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. 29 I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations. 32 Not for your sake do I do this," says the Lord God, "let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!" 33 'Thus says the Lord God: "On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt. 34 The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. 35 So they will say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the Garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.' 36 Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it." 37 'Thus says the Lord God:"I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock. 38 Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I am the Lord."'"

Let’s pick it back up with verse 28…

Ezekiel 36:28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people and I will be your God. 29 I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.

The prophetic word continues with a strong voice declaring that they will return to their homelands; but not only that they would return, but would return blessed. Not only would they be blessed, but God assures them that he will cleanse then and be their God. He says he will call for the grain and multiply it. So not only will there be grain, a staple food, but will also multiply it.

A quick side note: Grain Represents Righteousness

He is Jehovah Jirah the God who both sees and provides.

He sees what you are going through

He sees what you need

He sees where you hurt.

He sees your pain

He sees your lack

He sees your struggles

He is the God who sees

And you know what?

He is also the God that provides.

He provides you with jobs and money

He provides you with food

He provides you with shoes

He provides you with clothing

He provides you with healing

He provides you with substance for all your needs

And you know what your part is? Your part is….

Matt 6:31-33 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Your part is to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
