Someone Took Our Place

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him. For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life.”- Romans 5:8-10

INTRODUCTION:

We come to live and death ends our work. But Jesus came to die to give us real life. The innocent takes the punishment of the guilty.

I. SOMEONE DIED TO SAVE US.

1. To save us from wrath/judgment. Romans 5:9

2. To reconcile us to God. Romans 5:8

II. SOMEONE DIED TO OVERCOME DEATH. Hebrews 2:14

1. Death was the greatest weapon of Satan against man.

2. In Christ, we were made alive and will be resurrected for eternity. I Corinthians 15:20-23

III. SOMEONE DIED TO GET US TO HEAVEN.

1. Heaven is a happy place you should not miss.

For God shall wipe away all our tears. Revelation 7:17; 21:4

CONCLUSION:

Jesus Christ has done everything for us. He saved us and He overcame death. He has opened the door for us to heaven. Are you willing to enter in?

Believe and receive Jesus Christ into your heart. Die to your old life and make your life worthy to be ushered by Him to heaven.
