Summary: There is no escape found in Hell.

SOME THINGS THAT ARE NOT FOUND IN HELL TEXT: Hebrews 2:3

INTRODUCTION; Why do people go to hell? When do people go to hell? What is hell? When Jesus Christ returns Christians will be taken. Sinners will be left. Those who do not accept Christ will go to hell.

I. THERE IS NO ESCAPE ONCE IN HELL

A. Everlasting Punishment (Matthew 25;46). And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

B. There will never be a second chance.

II. ONCE IN HELL - TIME COUNTED NO MORE

Like going to a bad movie or even worse… listening to a bad sermon!

Christmas vacation.

A. Time for everything, but in hell time no longer reckoned. Ecclesiastes 3.

B. Time has no end relative to this message.

C. Eternity is endless, timeless.

III. THERE IS NO REST IN HELL

A. In hell the rich man cried and asked that Abraham have mercy on him. He said, “I am tormented in this flame” (Luke 16:24). And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

B. Friends, as to whether you refer to the present hell or the future lake of fire and brimstone, there is no rest day or night (Matt. 25:41). Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

C. In hell there will be no doctor to ease the suffering. Your friends might be there but they cannot help you at all.

D. There will be no fun in hell. It will be torment forever and ever.

IV. THERE WILL BE NO SALVATION OBTAINED IN HELL

In hell the rich man prayed, but it was too late to accomplish anything at all. Once in hell it is too late to pray for help (Luke 16;27). Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

V. THERE ARE NO PLEASURES IN HELL.

A. The lake of fire awaits the unregenerate (Revelation 21;8). But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

B. Once in hell Satan is victor and you are the loser.

CONCLUSION: Jesus Christ died that you and I would not have to go to hell nor the lake of fire. Will you accept Him and His plan now? He is standing, as it were, with outstretched arms toward you.
