Summary: Some things are sacred and are not meant to be touched or altered even when we have the best of intentions

My wife made a few comments about how much work she had put into the project and how much thought she had given each decision and then turned and left in the car.

I realized my error and set about putting things back in the cupboards to the best of my memory. My wife returned home about an hour and a half later having washed the car and having spent some time and money shopping for some new clothing for herself.

I made no effort at a defense I just admitted my guilt and my error and begged for mercy. The next day I had two new screen doors put on the house which she has been after me to do for at least en years and I waxed her car.

This unfortunate yet comical episode reminded me that some things are Sacred. We must not take for granted our position in Christ as if it is something that is our right. We must not take for granted the Holiness of our God and treat our Heavenly Father as - The Big Guy Upstairs - or The Man or put ourselves on a buddy - buddy level with the Almighty, All Powerful, All Knowing, and All Loving God of the Universe.

We are but dust and apart from the eternal soul which our God has placed in us we are not much. It would do us good in this modern technological age to remember that we are not clever or intelligent when compared to our Heavenly Father. We are in fact lost without Him. So He sent us His son to demonstrate His love toward us and that we might gain a fuller understanding of His love for us.

Let us treat our bibles as the Holy Word of God and let us treat our churches as the Sanctuary of God and let us live our lives in true reverence and awe of God. Let us remember that some things are sacred.
