Introduction

Good morning, church family! Today, we're going to take a dive into the comforting arms of Psalm 121. This particular psalm is a powerful message of God's ever-present protection, His watchful care, and the deep comfort found in His presence. It speaks directly to our hearts, especially in times of uncertainty and danger. It's a psalm that has given solace to many soldiers on the battlefield, reassurance to those walking through the valley of the shadow of death, and hope to those in the midst of the storm.

As Charles Spurgeon once said, "God is too good to be unkind and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart."

Let's read the Word together:

"I lift up my eyes to the hills—

from where will my help come?

My help comes from the Lord,

who made heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot be moved;

he who keeps you will not slumber.

He who keeps Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;

the Lord is your shade at your right hand.

The sun shall not strike you by day,

nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all evil;

he will keep your life.

The Lord will keep

your going out and your coming in

from this time on and forevermore."
