INTRODUCTION:

Defined: Without purpose or direction.

Going to a church with a mission doesn't mean you are living for the mission.

I'm appalled at the aimlessness of most people's lives today; 50% don't pay any attention to where they are going; 40% are undecided and will go in any direction; only 10% know what they want, and even then all of them don't go toward it.

T.S. How do we live so that we don't go through life. . .

T.S. Moses understood that if those who claimed to be God's people were truly being transformed than they would personally live in light of the Call.

Deut 31:30-32:4

30 And Moses recited the words of this song from beginning to end in the hearing of the whole assembly of Israel:

32 Listen, O heavens, and I will speak;

hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2 Let my teaching fall like rain

and my words descend like dew,

like showers on new grass,

like abundant rain on tender plants.

3 I will proclaim the name of the Lord.

Oh, praise the greatness of our God!

4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect,

and all his ways are just.

A faithful God who does no wrong,

upright and just is he.

Living in light of the call entails three components, facets, aspects, is only really possible if we are living in love and obedience.

Begins with experiencing.

I. Praise His Greatness (experiencing)

He is the Rock, dependable and steadfast

His works are perfect

His ways are Just

The first act of living the out the call is not possible without experience the greatness of God.

We cannot settle for the testimony of others, but we need to experience his greatness for ourselves.

The Iguazu Falls (heard of)

The Iguazu Falls are one of the biggest tourist attractions Argentina. The waterfalls separate the nations of Brazil and Argentina in true natural style. Iguazu is a testament to its impressiveness. (Heard Described)

(Seen a glimpse of)

A. Takes effort

B. Takes prioritizing

C. Takes determination

Living the Call begins with a burning passion to know the greatness of God as intimately as this life will allow. When we know his greatness we've got something that is compelling to share.

T.S. That leads automatically to Telling.

II. Proclaim the Name (telling)

Proclaim: To Declare with confident assurance

Living the Call is the tested by our ability to proclaim the greatness we have discovered in the face and difficulties and challenge. But it is here that the telling will fall like showers on grass, Rain on tender plants.

Are we confident enough to declare his greatness in the face of difficulty. Or in the darkness does our faith waver.

Recognize the significance of our testimony should be like. . .

T.S. Experiencing, Telling, Living. How we live is to reflect his character.

III. Reflect his Character. (living)

A faithful God who does no wrong,

upright and just is he.

To reflect God's Character determine how we live and engage the world around us. It is not just about moral uprightness, but also about how we encounter the world.

That will always lead us to a lifestyle of serving, defending the down trodden, meeting the needs of others.

To tangibly live in such a way that people come to know the Greatness of God you are compelled to talk about.

SUMMARY

Life's too short so live the call.

That will be always be the ongoing process of experiencing, telling and living out an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

CHECK POINTS

Are you experiencing enough of his Greatness that you have story to share if not than you first step is more of HIM, not more church, more studies, but more of him.
