Sitting When You Should Be Standing

Summary: There are many times we fail our Lord by sitting when he wants us standing, prepared for battle.
1)Peter sat down at the wrong time
a)time of temptation
b)when Jesus was being persecuted
c)when he should have been praying
2)Peter sat down with the wrong crowd
a)with unbelievers
b)with those who were sinners
c)with those who hated Jesus
3)Why did he sit down?
a)because he was following along from a distance
b)because he slept instead of sleeping
c)because he was a spiritual coward
4)How long did he sit there?
a)until he was discovered
b)until he denied Christ
5)What happened then?
a)Jesus looked at him
b)Jesus forgave him

Conclusion: There are many times we fail our Lord. We sit when he wants us standing, prepared for battle. Yet he continues to love us.
