TOPIC - SIPPING FROM ME SAUCER BECAUSE MY CUP HAS OVERFLOWED
IN THE 23RD # OF PSALMS DAVID DOES 3 THINGS
HE TALKS ABOUT THE LORD (IN VERSES 1-3
HE TALKS TO THE LORD (IN VERSE 4
THEN HE TALKS ABOUT THE GOOD NESS OF THE LORD IN VERSES 5-6
AND TO GET A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE 23RD PSALMS
WE 1ST HAVE TO MASH THE REWIND BUTTOM TO THE 22ND #
OF PSALMS
THEN WE HAVE MASH THE FAST FOWARD BUTTON TO THE 24TH # OF PSALMS
AND THE REASON WHY IS THE 22# 23# AND THE 24# OF PSALMS IS A TRIOLGY OF PSALMS THAT WORKS HAND IN HAND
BECAUSE IN Psalm 22 we see the cross,
In Psalm 23 the crook (the Shepherd's crook),
AND in Psalm 24 the crown (the King's crown)
In Psalm 22 Christ is the Savior;
IN Psalm 23 He is the Satisfier;
AND in Psalm 24 He is the Sovereign.
IN OTHER WORDS
In Psalm 22 He is the foundation;
In Psalm 23 He is the manifestation;
AND in Psalm 24 He is the expectation.
IS IT ALRIGHT IF I PUT A PRAISE TOKE IN THE PRAISE METER AND TELL YOU WHAT I`M TALKING ABOUT
In Psalm 22 He dies;
In Psalm 23 He is living;
AND in Psalm 24 He is coming back.
YOU SEE
Psalm 22 speaks of the past;
Psalm 23 speaks of the present;
And Psalm 24 speaks of our glorious future.
In Psalm 22 He gives His life for the sheep;
In Psalm 23 He gives His love to the sheep;
AND in Psalm 24 He gives us light when He shall appear.
YOU SEE THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS IF YOU KNOW THE LORD AS
1. Jehovah-Rohi – v. 1 – The LORD My Shepherd
2. Jehovah-Jireh – v. 1 – The LORD MY Provider
3. Jehovah-Shalom – v. 2 – The LORD My Peace
4. Jehovah-Raphi – v. 3 – The LORD My Healer
5. Jehovah-Tsidkenu – v. 3 – The LORD My Righteousness
6. Jehovah-Shammah – v. 4 – The LORD Is ALWAYS There
7. Jehovah-Nissi – v. 5 – The LORD MY Banner
8. Jehovah-M’Kaddesh – v. 5 – The LORD My Sanctifier
9. Jehovah-El Elyon – v. 6 – The LORD Most High
YOU OUGHT TO LOOK AT YOUR NEIGHBOR AND GIVE THEM A (AIR HIGH FIVE )
AND TELL THEM I,M SIPPING FROM MY SAUCER BECAUSE MY CUP HAS OVER FLOWED
IN OTHER WORDS DAVID LETS US KNOW THE LORD
( Provides Rejoicing) – David tells us that the Lord’s blessings in is life are so great that he has more than he can handle!
His cup has passed full and has run over into the saucer!
That is exactly how the Lord treats His precious children.
BECAUSE If you are in a place where He can bless you, then look out, because He certainly will!
If some of you were to testify this morning,
You could tell us that there have been times when the Lord filled your cup to the overflowing!
There have been times when His presence and the reality of His glory was almost more than you could bear!
AND Those are the real blessings of the Lord!
AND I DON`T KNOW ABOUT YOU
BUT Thank God for the times when He fills MY cup!)
WELL Another reason for rejoicing lies in the picture of a cup that has been made to overflow.
YOU SEE
In those days, when a guest was sitting with his host in the evening drinking,
the host would often rise and refill the glasses.
If the host came and only filled the glass half full, it was the host’s way of saying, “The evening is over, it is time for you to leave.”
If, however, the host came by and filled your cup full, he was saying, “I am enjoying your company and I would like for you to stay with me for a while longer.”
Well, when the Lord filled David’s cup,
He caused it to overflow.
The Lord was saying, “David, I sure do enjoy your company and I hope you will continue to abide with Me!”
AND MY QUESTION TO YOU THIS MORNING /EVENING
Does the Lord ever fill your cup?
And everytimes He does, He is telling you that He enjoys your company and He is reminding you that He loves you greatly!)
BECAUSE Through His Abundance
- David tells us that the Lord's blessings in his life are so great that he has more than he can handle!
YOU SEE
Some will not bring their cup to the table and as a result they are never filled with all of His blessings
Then Others have their cups filled with too much other stuff and there is no room for Him to put anything into their lives
