Sinners Sin

Summary: Point your finger in the right direction.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
We spend too much time condemning the world we are called to lead to salvation. Jesus only had condemning words for the religious leaders who thought they were righteous and looked done on the sinners.
We need to be careful of that same attitude. Sinners will sin. Evil is in the world. That is why He came. That is why we are still here to continue the mission of Christ by bringing people to Him.
Our first priority is to improve our walk with Him. I am painfully aware of my own need for revival. When we are revived and empowered by the Spirit unbelievers will see in us what they saw in Him for we will be like Him. Some will see the light in us and come to receive that same light. Others will come to extinguish the light for they cannot bear it. They are convicted, but not repentant. The crowds flocked to Jesus at the same time the religious leaders sought to kill Him. Why are we surprised when that happens today?
Lord, cleanse us. Let your light and love shine through us so that we may have compassion to win the world not condemn it. Maranatha!
