Singleness Of Purpose

Summary: … The question we should always ask ourselves, what is my singleness of purpose? because we often waste a lot of time doing so many things in life , but we forget to remind ourselves why we are here on earth.
Today, I bring to you my sermon titled: Singleness of purpose
Singleness of purpose refers to a state of being completely focused and dedicated to one goal, objective or passion. It involves clarity, having a clear understanding of what you want to achieve. It involves concentration, directing all your energy and resources towards that goal. It involves commitment, being fully invested and dedicated to achieving success.
In a biblical context, it involves seeking God’s will and purpose with spiritual growth and maturity while being single-minded in devotion to God.
From our first scripture: Genesis 15:1-12, 17-18
In this passage, God promises Abram a son and descendants as numerous as the stars and Abram believes God and it is counted to him as righteous.
Abram’s singleness of purpose is demonstrated through his constant trust in God’s promise despite the delay in its fulfillment.
From our second scripture: Philippians 3:17-4:1
Apostle Paul urges the Philippians to imitate him, to focus on their heavenly citizenship.
Paul’s own singleness of purpose is evident in his determination to press on towards the goal of knowing Christ and being conformed to his death
From our third scripture: Luke 13:31-35
Jesus’s response to the Pharisees who warm him about Herod’s treat, and He said to them “Go and tell that fox, behold I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I finish my course. (Verse 32).
Jesus’ singleness of purpose is proved through his steadfast commitment to his mission, despite the danger and the opposition he faces.
Brethren, what is your singleness of purpose?
Jesus said : '' my food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work (John 4:34)''
We must do the works of Him who sent me as long as it is day, night is coming when no one can work (John 9:4)
Indeed, the night is coming for each and every one of us when we cannot work, therefore let’s remember our creator in the days of our youth before the days of trouble come and the years approach when we will say I find no pleasure in them.
Brethren, you are here for a reason and there is so much purpose for your life, you have what it takes there is nothing you can’t do.
Church !
It’s time for us to function in our full purpose!
It’s time for us to function in our full calling!
It’s time for us to be an amazing as we created to do!
My message to you this morning: “Find your singleness purpose with clear understanding, commitment and focus’’
Always remember that we are the GUARDIANS OF FAITH, those selected and appointed by God to protect and preserve the Faith, ensuring that it’s passed down to future generations.
