Signed, Sealed And Delivered

There is an old song called, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” Part of it I am going to paraphrase. Here I am, Jesus, signed, sealed, delivered, I’m Yours. I’m Yours!

It all starts with Jesus signing the proposal of salvation with His blood when we were the enemy.

Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 

When accept the proposal by signing it with faith coming to Him for forgiveness we are sealed and given the Holy Spirit.

Eph_1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph_4:30  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption

Then process of deliverance has started.

2 Co 1:9  But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 

10  Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 

Paul is speaking of the persecution he was experiencing, but we can make application here. He delivered us from the penalty of sin and is through the Spirit delivering from the power of sin and one day we will delivered to Him by death or Rapture and finally delivered from the presence of sin in the new Heaven and new earth! Rejoice in that you are signed, sealed and delivered, you’re His if you are born again. Maranatha!!!
