Short Funeral Sefvice For A Pastor`s Wife.

A Psalm of David.

23 The LORD is my shepherd;

I shall not [a]want.

2 He makes me to lie down in [b]green pastures;

He leads me beside the [c]still waters.

3 He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You anoint my head with oil;

My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life;

And I will [d]dwell in the house of the LORD

[e]Forever.

23 The LORD is my shepherd;

This is a strong statement, and Frances knew this and believed this. She knew that the Lord was always with her. She had to, because she was a pastor`s wife.

Being a pastor`s wife is not an easy job, there are a lot of up and downs. Dealing with a pastor’s call is also not easy, the wife takes on many rolls in her life. From teaching Sunday school, being the song leader if needed, to the janitor if it is called for. And also, at time`s putting up with a grumpy preacher. Frances was all these things at some time or the other and she did it all with class and a loving heart.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

A lot of Sunday`s I would go to the pulpit and look over and see Mrs., France sitting there in the choir. Knowing she could hardly get around that day not feeling well at all, but she would push her pain aside to come to God`s house and to worship with her church family. She knew that God would take care of her, even in the pain she stepped up to serve and show God how much she loved him. She also loved people, Frances didn`t judge other`s, she didn`t care if you the CEO of a fortune 500 company or someone on the street, she treated everyone with the same love and respect that they deserved. Just as Jesus did. Mrs. Frances didn`t just talk the talk she truly walked the walk.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life;

And I will [d]dwell in the house of the LORD

[e]Forever.

And this came to pass last Saturday. She lived her life for that moment that she went to be with the Lord. Everything that she did in life came down to the second she took her last breath. I know this is a time of sadness for us left behind but it is also a time of great celebration for Mrs. Frances. She is now in the house of the Lord, and can you imagine the celebration that took place last Saturday in heaven. Amen, and she is wanting for us when we are called home.

There is so much more that could be said about France`s. but as I was preparing this there came a little voice in my head that said that`s enough talking about me. Move on.

So, as we close

I want to ask for a

Moment of silence before I close us in prayer. I want you reflect on the good times you had with Frances and her impact on your life.

Closing Prayer:

Dear heavenly Father, we gather here today to remember the precious life of Frances Campbell We also gather to say goodbye one last time and celebrate the life that she enjoyed here on earth and thank you for each precious moment and memory that we have had with her. Her life has touched so many in so many different ways. We pray that your peace and presence will be upon the family and us during this time and we pray this in your Son name, Amen.
