Shinning Like Stars

TEXT: Daniel 12:3; Proverb 11:30

"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."

WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPAL THING

In day light, the sun reigns; but at night the stars come out to play. They decorate the heavens and brighten the earth. Wisdom, like the stars at night, illuminates the heart of men. When knowledge is applied in the right way, it gladdens the soul. King Solomon, the wise says: "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom (Prov 4:7). A man's wisdom makes his face to shine (Eccl 8:1). God will grant you grace to seek wisdom and become wise in Jesus name.

WISDOM COMES FROM GOD

Read what Job said about wisdom in Job 28:20,23,28:

“But do people know where to find wisdom? Where can they find understanding? God alone understands the way to wisdom;

he knows where it can be found,

And this is what he says to all humanity: The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’” Ps 111:10 and Prov 1:7 tells us also that: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom." Wisdom comes from God. King Solomon requested for wisdom from God and God granted him his desire and he became one of the wisest and richest kings that ever lived.

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" (James 1:5). If you want wisdom, ask from God; He will bless you with wisdom in Jesus name.

DIVINE AND WORLDLY WISDOM

The wisdom that comes from God is superior to the wisdom of the world. Divine wisdom enables God's children to win souls and lead many to righteousness. Believers who lead others to righteousness will shine like stars for ever. Shinning from the wisdom the world gives is temporary, but shinning from divine wisdom is eternal. "Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever" (Dan 12:3). Your star will not dim, divine wisdom will cause you to shine for eternity in Jesus name.

DIVINE WISDOM TRANSFORMS

Divine wisdom helped Daniel and the three Hebrew youths to turn an entire empire to serve the living God (Dan 6:26). By divine wisdom Deacon Phillip turned an entire city to righteousness and brought joy to thousands of people through the gospel of Christ (Acts 8:5-8). By divine wisdom, the 120 disciples of Christ (including the 12 apostles), turned the entire world upside down for Jesus (Acts 17:6). They achieved all these with the help of the Wisdom of God - Jesus.

"But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God" (1 Cor 1:24). Jesus is the wisdom of God. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour; then the wisdom of God is in you and with you.

WIN SOULS FOR CHRIST

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). The essence of this command is to turn others to righteousness. Soul winning is the heartbeat of God. If you want to shine for ever, then go ye and win souls for Christ. "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee" (Isa 60:1).

PRAYER:

Father, fill my heart and life with divine wisdom. Help me to win souls for you in Jesus name.

DECREE:

I will arise, win souls and shine for ever.
