Shake Off The Viper

Gen 3:2-3

2 The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat;

3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, "You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’"

Can you see that

There is the bite of the snake

Gen 3:4-5

4 The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die!

5 "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Eve here had the chance to shake the serpent off and walk away

But she didn’t did she

So what happens the snake here in injecting the poison into her.

Gen 3:6-7

6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.

Now the poison starts to take effect.

And what happen

Gen 3:19

19 By the sweat of your face

You will eat bread,

Till you return to the ground,

Because from it you were taken;

For you are dust,

And to dust you shall return."

The venom of the serpent caused the death that we still feel today

Guess what folks the serpent is still trying to strike and bite us today

We walk around all happy

Praising God for all his blessings that he has given us then what happens

Satan bites us

He tries to inject his venom into us

What is that venom

It’s the venom of self destruction

It’s the venom of Spiritual destruction

It is the venom of

Bad health

Depression

But you know what folks God offers an anti-venom

The Devils venom is Gods anti-venom

Hatred love

Sadness joy

Chaos peace

Being not patient patience

Unkindness kindness

Anger goodness

Unfaithfulness faithfulness

Harshness gentleness

Being out of control self-control

You see the devil offers just the opposite of the things God offers

Satan tries to counterfeit everything God is doing

STORY OF PREACHER

That kind of teaching is a venom from the serpent

Just like

Bad health

Depression

Hatred

Sadness

Chaos

Being not patient

unkindness

anger

Unfaithfulness

Harshness

Being out of control

Is all venom

But we can avoid this venom by doing what Paul did and shake off the viper

you need to shake off the viper tonight folks before he injects enough poison to destroy you
