Seven Walks In Ephesians

Summary: It is profitable to us and pleasing to the Lord for us to participate in these seven directives.
SEVEN WALKS IN EPHESIANS
Ephesians 4:1 (KJV), "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,"
--An Overview of the Seven "Walks" in Ephesians--
* 2:2 "...in time past..."
-lived according to the world's standards
-energized and guided by the Devil
* 2:10 Walk in good works.
-God's Workmanship
-Colossians 1:16
-2 Corinthians 5:17
-Expect to obtain a full reward (2 John 8).
* 4:1 "...walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,"
-how to walk
-( 4:24) "...put on the new [Strong's G2537, of a new kind] man."
*4:17 Walk not in the vanity of the mind.
-but in the light of the Word of God
-a renewed mind and a daily dedication
*5:2 "...walk in love,..."
-The Lord first loved us.
-It is unfruitful to attempt to love God while hating our brothers.
-The First Corinthians, Chapter Thirteen kind of love is required.
*5:8 "...walk as children of light:"
-No longer walk in darkness (sin and Satan's influence)
-Matthew Poole, "Let your conversation [lifestyle]
be suitable to your condition and privileges."
*5:15 "...walk circumspectly [walk carefully--the way believers are to walk],..."
-Walk in wisdom, not if folly.
-Act prudently upon the knowledge we have.
