Faith or the lack of faith is the difference between heaven and hell. There is no way to over-emphasize the necessity and value of faith. Charles Wesley wrote, "Faith, mighty faith the promise sees, and rests on that alone; Laughs at impossibilities, and says it shall be done."

The dying thief on the cross next to Jesus made one request to be remembered, and Jesus responded to that by promising him that he would be joining Jesus that very day in paradise. Look to Jesus and your future is always bright.

Jesus promised forgiveness in general to all who had a part in His crucifixion, but to the dying thief next to Him He made a very personal and precise promise that can be claimed by all who will, like this thief, turn to Jesus in faith.
