Jesus was a trainer of men. The Lord sent out seventy disciples who were to prepare the way for the ministry of Jesus. He gave these seventy men a burden for the souls of men. He told them that the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few.

“I am the light of the world” is the highest claim that He has made so far in the Gospel of John. One of the definitions of God is that He is light (see 1 John 1:5). He is absolute in His holiness and in His justice.
