Everyone desires protection from danger—especially when it comes to our health, safety, family, and future. In our passage, we clearly see what the Bible calls the hedge of God’s protection around Job. Satan himself admitted that he could not touch Job unless God allowed it.

God places a hedge of protection around His people. These hedges depend on a few things: 1). His people must be living righteously or seeking forgiveness, 2). Intercessors must be making up that hedge, and 3). hedges are based on grace, not merit.
