Another thing to remember is fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) is more important than the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). Gifts of the Holy Spirit without the fruit of the Holy Spirit is a counterfeit.

Water Baptism

But the baptism in the Holy Spirit is not a substitute for Water Baptism. Neither is Water Baptism a substitute for the baptism in the Holy Spirit. They are two separate but complementary provisions of God for every person who comes to faith in Jesus Christ.
